ABOUT ME

I’ve only recently discovered my passion in life and that is decorating and DIY’ing.  Through many coincidences and lucky choices I stumbled upon the world of DIY and blogging and decided to merge the two into Amy Krist in 2013.  My life has never been the same.

First and foremost however I am “Mama” to my [too] quickly growing boy and girl and “Honey” to the love of my life.  But that doesn’t mean I have to sacrifice “Me” in the meantime.  I firmly believe we are all works in progress and should live the best life we can while we have it.  I created this blog to share my ideas, yes, but more importantly to inspire you to pick up a hammer, screwdriver or can of spray paint and surround yourself with bits of you!

There is nothing more rewarding than showing off something you made, painted, reupholstered, etc to someone while proudly saying, “I did that.”  Ask anyone who’s visited our home and they will tell you I do this way too often.

Whether your budget is large [lucky you] or meager such as mine, you can create beauty with your mind and hands.  All it takes is YOU.

Everything you see and read is a bit of me and I hope you enjoy Amy Krist.
